Who is responsible for the plot entrance?
In Helsinki (outside the inner city), Espoo and Vantaa, the property is responsible for clearing the snowbank the city plough leaves at the plot entrance. In Espoo and Vantaa, snow cleared from the plot must also be kept on the plot itself. See the city websites: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa.
Household tax credit
According to the Finnish Tax Administration, snow clearing and ploughing in the yard qualify for the household tax credit when you order and pay for the work yourself. Check the current terms on vero.fi.
